Fue coordinador pedagógico del aula virtual de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. Ha realizado docencia en diversas universidades a nivel nacional e internacional. Es evaluador de artículos académicos y ha participado como evaluador en concurso académicos de la Organización de Estado Iberoamericanos (OEI), también ha cooperado en programas de formación realizado por la UNESCO en el marco de CiudadesMil. Ha escrito diversos artículos académicos y participado en congresos internacionales de educación, dando cuenta de resultados de sus investigaciones y experiencias educativas.

Ha participado como parte del consejo consultivo de organismos tales como el International Society for Technology in Education, el Apple Distinguished Educator Program y la Sociedad Mexicana de Computo Educativo, la facultad de educación de la Universidad Anahuac y la facultad de ingeniería de la UNAM.

Durante 7 años ha trabajado como docente de matemática en los niveles primaria y secundaria. Por más de 12 años se ha desempeñado como Director de Educación, Comunicaciones y Libertad Religiosa para la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día en diferentes regiones del Perú. En la UPeU ha desempeñado las funciones de: Director Académico Universitario, Coordinador de Currículo, Coordinador de Gabinete Pedagógico y Director General de Educación a Distancia.

Tiene estudios en Teología, Bachiller en Ciencias Físicas, Licenciado en Educación Matemática, Maestro en

Educación con mención en Gestión Educativa, Doctor en administración de Negocios y un Postitulo en Educación Basado en Competencias.

Además, ha dirigido las comisiones de elaboración: del Modelo Educativo y sus programas curriculares de la Red de Colegios Adventistas del Perú, del Modelo Educativo UPeU 2021 y de los currículos por competencia de pregrado de la UPeU.
